Matt Miller is a Chicago-based director and producer.
As a commercial director, recent credits include work for Lowe's, Allstate, Eggo, America's Best Eyeglasses, AT&T, Hyundai, Crest, and The Hartford. His work with Crumbl Cookies and legendary announcer Michael Buffer garnered a 2023 National Gold Addy Award for the spot "Let's Get Ready to Crumbl!"
Matt co-created the Teachers web series with the sketch group the Katydids. The show was picked up to series by TV Land in 2014 and ran for three seasons; Matt served as en executive producer on the show.
An accomplished stage director as well, his notable productions include Irish Theatre of Chicago's production of The Seafarer (nominated for 5 Joseph Jefferson Awards, WINNER for Best Ensemble), The Killer Angels with Lifeline Theatre (WINNER Joseph Jefferson Award for Sound Design), Superior Donuts with Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co., and Oblivion for Steppenwolf’s First Look Repertory.
Matt has a degree in education and has taught on-camera acting courses across the Midwest at places like DePaul University's Theatre School, Northwestern University, Illinois Wesleyan, The University of Nebraska at Lincoln, The Acting Studio Chicago, ImprovOlympic, and The Second City Training Center. He is also the founder and owner of the Chicago Virtual Showcase, a service for Chicago area actors and industry professionals.
Although Matt is only 49 years old, he's currently reading on a 57 year old level.
